the Well Read River

Age recommendations: All ages (including adults)

Summary: Follow six year old Bluey as she learns many life lessons through ordinary daily situations. Along with her sister Bingo, Bluey plays games, performs plays, and learns valuable life lessons while her Mum and Dad watch and guide her.

My review: Even if all of your children are over the age of 13, I still recommend this show. It is humorous and at the same time has some very deep messages. The characters are funny, and relatable. One thing that really stands out to me is the family relationship. Mum and Dad (Chillie and Bandit) love each other very dearly, and also love their children. They get annoyed and frustrated, but they also are very fun and loving. They are also annoyingly accurate. Such as when Dad takes Bluey and Bingo to the pool, and doesn't bring any of their stuff. The parents are a good dynamic and each fulfill their roll in the house very very accurately and well. It really is a genuinely fun show, and a fun family relationship. The family doesn't stop at the Heelers, but extends to well built cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents. All the characters are unique, and the world of Bluey is very well built.

Quotes: “Run your own race.”

Concerns: Some butt jokes.
